History

BID GROUP emerges as a company focused on providing loans to unionized and retired people. As it grew, it developed and created new lines of business such as R3IT (professional services), EMCOFIN (credits), AMER (management services and solutions) GMT (consulting and development of investment projects), in addition to a 3R construction company focused on government issues for PEMEX and CFE works based on tenders. BID GROUP has more than 68 branches throughout Mexico.

Problem

Due to their growth and the new solutions they developed, their physical server equipment required more space and greater information security, so they needed new backup and security practices that would help them ensure the continuity of their business, high availability, collaboration and mobility of corporate documents, so they looked for a solution that could cover all their needs, without interrupting the company's activity.

Solution

The research of various solutions and services that could solve their needs led them to find different clouds that had solutions that adapted to what they were looking for. Carrying out an analysis of the benefits of these clouds, they chose the AWS cloud because it is a leader in services and solutions, in addition to being able to count on consulting and support from the Compucloud team. Through the migration of their servers and the adoption of WorkSpaces, they were able to quickly manage and provision desktops to company users for greater collaboration on internal documentation.

Results

With the use of the AWS cloud and the support of Compucloud, savings of 330,000 pesos per year have been achieved, increased employee productivity and the security of having their information in case of a contingency.

Implement a DRP for your accounting system and internet to comply with new information security policies. In addition to the automated backups of all collaborators' computers.
